溍炀两国，正邪对立，分庭抗礼。炀王楚馗大肆征战，战火纷飞。忠义的溍王抵抗楚馗未成，退守北方，养兵蓄锐，以待攻敌之日。　　聪慧善良的摘星在狼狩山上结识一名野少年，给他取名狼仔。狼仔自小生长在山林间，虽未经教化但天性质朴，心地纯善，与摘星青梅竹马。不料不谙世事的狼仔为救幼狼，竟被误会成谋害重臣的凶手，惨遭追杀。尽管摘星查出真凶，还狼仔清白，却因其兄马俊从中作梗，使得狼仔误以为摘星出卖自己，狼仔伤心坠崖，消失无踪。途经此地的炀王楚馗见狼仔天资不凡，暗中将他收为养子，而后又封他为渤王和夜煞之首。　　八年后，经历马家惨案的摘星与渤王意外重逢，摘星怀疑渤王就是狼仔，但渤王矢口否认，因为他不愿面对痛苦的过去。楚馗为了利用马摘星和马家军去对付溍国，赐婚于渤王和摘星，甚至让摘星误以为她的杀父仇人是溍王。摘星被楚馗误导，答应嫁给渤王。　　在两人相处的日子里，摘星的温柔一步步唤...
